Happy Halloween

Hello All

The weather continues to be kind and feeling  pleasantly warm, although there have been some cooler mornings recently. The warm autumn does mean we are still able to source beautiful, local Alstromeria from Bretforton. A bunch of these flowers will brighten anyone’s day.

Pumpkins
We have a variety of pumpkins available, all grown in Harvington. The wet weather and lower temperatures this summer created ideal growing conditions; so there are some huge pumpkins this year !

Halloween Cup Cakes
This weekend we are introducing our Halloween cup cakes, made by Lisa who bakes all our highly reputable cakes for the café.

Chocolate and raspberry flavours to suit all tastes.

Pre-Prepared Meal
This week after numerous customer requests we see the return of our beef curry.  Not too spicy, but a definite authentic taste and aromatic flavours.

In addition to our popular pulled pork we are now selling one serving pots of coronation chicken which are delicious served on a jacket potato.

Christmas Orders 2021

A big thank you  you for all the Christmas orders to date, Andrea is very busy inputting onto  our data base. If you need reminding of previous orders, last years order files  are located behind the till, or can be accessed on our data base. Just drop me a line if you need any help - sara@ellendendarm.co.uk

Order forms are available in the shop, or you can view and print off our website.  www.ellendenfarm shop.co.uk

New Staff Member
I would like to introduce Fliss, our newest member to the Ellenden team. Fliss has replaced Emily in the Farm House Kitchen, now she has returned to her medical studies, and is proving to be a very valuable team member.

Bev, Clare, Di, Andrea, Jordan and Kate all remain with us, I feel incredibly  lucky to have a team of very hardworking, loyal, committed staff.  Emily and Georgie are returning to us, when their university term ends for Christmas.

Farming News
David, Toby and Grandad have been busy picking apples and pears for juicing this week. They are taken to Pershore college to be pressed and bottled, before returning to the shop as a saleable  product.  Low food miles and carbon footprint.

Finally...

We now have Poppy’s available in the shop, any donations received will be given to The Royal British Legion poppy appeal.

I have  huge respect for those that currently serve, and those that have given their lives to allow the democratic society we live in today, so very happy to help.

Toby wasn’t selected this week to play for the Evesham First XV team, but when approached by the coach to explain why, in his usual  manner Toby explained he just enjoys playing rugby, he doesn’t have an ego to fill, and  he will always give his best to whatever level he is playing…  So very proud of my grown up, mature son.

Definitely a chill in the air this morning, the log burner in the café is going to be warm and cosy!

Take Care
Sara
